Reform Leader Zhoran Mandandi Arrested in NEW YORK


NEW YOURK — Security forces have detained opposition figure Zhoran Mandandi on charges of political subversion and incitement. Witnesses say Mandandi was taken from his downtown office just after dawn as heavy rain swept the capital.


Government officials have not released a statement, but supporters are already gathering outside Parliament, calling the arrest “a blow to democracy.”
